My 2013 c1500 4.3 2 wheel drive has a 3.23 limited slip gear and it feels like a 4 cylinder when taking off very lazy the stock tire was 245/70/17 I went up to a 265/65/18 tire witch is not much 30 1/2 to a 31 1/2 inch tire now I wanna re gear the truck I'm thinking 3.73 to get a low end good pull and then with the 4l60e 4 speed automatic have a decent top end with out killing the gas milage any thoughts about this would be great I just want the truck to feel good pulling and driving

Ok, mathematically, you're stock set up was turning about 1743 RPMs @ 70 MPH.  With the new tire size that changed to 1685 RPMs @ 70 MPH.

Changing the ring and pinion to 3.73s will deliver 1946 RPMs @ 70 MPH with the 18" wheels and tires.

1784 RPMs with 3.42 gears with the 18" wheels and tires at 70 MPH.

I was thinking the same thing with the 3.73 ratio and  would give good take off and mid to top end pulling without killing the engine I considered 3.42 but a friend that's races cars said 3.73 would be perfect for it
