Air Lift Wireless One Pink Wire Fuse Tap?

2020 GMC Sierra Denali Duramax 3500HD with Air Lift 5000 Ultimate air bags installed. Added Air Lift Wireless One 2nd Gen compressor that has the optional "Pink" wire power wire for the engine fuse block. Says to use a 10amp fuse that is "hot" with key on. What fuse are you using? (Fuse number if possible) Thanks for your help.

I picked up 12v accessory power here in the passenger side fuse box. It’s retained accessory power too. Just use a female spade to attach to the lug and I used an inline fuse.

Are you running the optional pink wire to your passenger side fuse block for power with ignition hot? I have my Wireless One black negative and red positive wired to my battery. Instructions say to connect "pink" wire to a 10amp fuse block that is hot with "key on". Guess I'm just confused as to where the "pink" wire actually plugs into with a fuse tap. Hope that makes sense.

Any pink wire in a gm harness at the uhfb is switched power. Make sure you select a pink wire close to the same gage you are connecting.

Jeff, Thanks for your photo as it made connecting the pink wire a lot easier to a power source. I had asked Air Lift Tech Support for any information as to what fuse location to use on the 2020 GM 3500HD trucks. The reply was why do you want to use the pink wire and don't even bother. Nice answer.....Not. Why even have the pink wire with it noted in the installation instructions if it's really of no use. I ended up drilling a small hole in one of the plastic plugs in the body under the passenger carpet, placing a rubber grommet in the hole with the wire run through it. I gorilla taped the wire down and zip tied it to a wire bundle. The rest was easy and it works as advertised with a 10amp fuse wired into the circuit. Thanks again for your help.

The pink wire really serves no purpose. I have the same setup and just capped the pink wire. Here's what the manual says about the pink wire:

OPTIONAL Ignition Source Connection

Connect the pink wire to any wire that is active when the ignition is on. This will allow WirelessONE to make adjustments as soon as the ignition is turned on. Otherwise, the system will only activate when the vehicle moves or when woken up by the controller or mobile app. Hardware to connect to the ignition is not included. This is a low-amperage circuit that should be connected to the output side of a 10A or smaller fuse-protected circuit.

Just curious how heavy are you towing. Did your truck squat that much you needed to add air bags? Haven't towed with mine yet, my old dually did squat a little to much with my new trailer I was hoping my new truck (2020 3500 Sierra SLT DRW) with 5266Lbs. payload Cap. would do a little better.

36' 5th wheel 2020 Jayco Pinnacle 32RLTS. I didn't really need to add the air bags as the squat wasn't bad at all. I just like to have my 5th wheel level when towing if at all possible due to having a RV refrigerator. Today was actually the first time I hooked up the 5th wheel to my truck. It took 35psi in the bags to level the trailer. I will check level again tomorrow after I do some towing to see if the bags need to be adjusted.

The only thing the pink wire does is keeps the pump from adjusting the pressure if the truck is off. Really only matters if you have a leak. I added the air bags on my 2020 srw 3500 because it was bouncing so much while towing my 40’ Raptor. I towed the same trailer with my 2017 srw 3500 With no problems. The helper springs on the 2020 are a lot further away from the bump stops meaning a lot more squat before they kick in.
