Factory garage door opener

I'm looking to add factory garage door opener. It appears that GM has moved the module from the overhead compartment area to the rear view mirror. It also contains a self contained/removable remote that stores inside the bottom of the mirror. GM part 84350232 according to gmpartsnow.com

Does anyone have experience with this part? Do you have it installed from factory? Has anyone here ordered this part and installed?

I have a 2020 LT Trail Boss and I bought an overhead console off eBay that had the home link in it. It also has the control for the power sliding rear window which I don't have but it's plug and play. No modifications needed.

was the wiring there for the rear slider even though your truck like my LT didn’t come with the rear window from the factory?? so if you wanted to add the slider after the wiring is already there?

The harness wasn't there as far as I could tell, but you would be able to plug it into the overhead and control it if you wanted to if you bought a harness.

When you bought the over head console with the garage opener in it was it plug and play with the home link???My 2020 LT has just the plain overhead console and I want the one with the slider button,and garage opener buttons.

Yes, plug and play. Only one harness plugs into the overhead console. It just feeds power to everything in the overhead console. Mine has the control for the slider also but I don't have one.

I just got delivery of a new at4 without sunroof and rear sliding window. I took off the upper console like you did and I'm sure you noticed there was a large unused plug there. I want to replace that to add the new console with the control for the rear window but y ou dont think that big plug could be the harness for the rear window?
