Is there a power tailgate that only power open but not closed?

GMC multi pro will power release (gravity fall) but does not power closed.

Power up and power down is only available on LTZ and High Country.  

 

WT and Custom trim come standard with no assist down or up and a manual handle.  

 

WT and Custom can option to an EZ lift/slow drop with power latch.

 

LT comes standard with EZ lift/slow drop and manual handle, and can option up to power latch.

 

LTZ comes standard with the EZ lift/slow drop with power latch and can option to full power up and down. 

 

High Country comes with the full power up and down gate.  

 

So in theory, the EZ drop gates are "power open" but mechanically.  Once the latch is activated by the key fob/button on the gate/button on the dash, the gate will "automatically" lower.  They are then manually closed.

Chevrolets have the option for power open and close.
