Pretty bad oil leak 02 suburban 5.3 vortec

Ive got a pretty bad oil leak in my burban.  Its coming from both sides on the back of the engine dripping off the starter bolts and the oil cooler block off plate.  I'm seeing alot of things on this site about rear main seal but could it be the sending unit up top? It only leaks when there is oil pressure if I come home and park it it will stop dripping eventually.  This is a bad leak fellas like a good drip every 5 seconds

Did you look and try to see where it's coming from?

Rear main isn't at the top.

Valve covers?

Sending unit?

If you would of asked me two days ago where I thought it was coming from I would of said that oil cooler block off plate gasket.  Now its dripping off both sides so its got me thinking its leaking somewhere with the most pressure.  Ive had my son all weekend so I haven't been able to get it on Jack stands clean it with break cleaner then start it and try to track the leak.  I just bought it about a week ago from a local used dealer it runs great shifts great has good oil pressure everything works 4x4 is good.  If it was a valve cover gasket would it be leaking down both sides of the back of the engine?

And that sending unit is definitely a suspect in all of this does it hold enough pressure to get that much oil dripping down both sides? Like I said it doesnt leak if there isn't any actual oil pressure

We can only guess.

V6 or V8 has 2 valve covers. Yes it could be the cause on both sides.

Both valve covers is still better than the rear main aye I'm going to take it back to the shop tomorrow just want to have a idea so this guy isn't like rear main I need a thousand to fix it

There is a gasket for the block off plate, it's probably blown.

If you are running original valve cover gaskets, time to replace them and the hold down bolt gaskets.

I already did the block off plate gasket and I just had the rear main seal done it appears to have fixed the problem its bone dry under there
