Reduced Engine Power should trip some sort of fault, then you can diag the problem from there.

I’m thinking I’ve been lied to on the year of the motor I did the swap with because I’m reading that 2014-16 use a slightly diffent ecu

Did they swap just the motor or the ECU as well?

The 2014-2016 uses a E92 computer and the 2017-2018 uses a E92A but that isn't going to matter here. The older computer shouldn't have been used in the first place.

There are other differences on some sensors from early to later years though. Like parts of the high pressure fuel system.

Found the problem guys thanks for y’all input really appreciate it so the motor that I bought had dad a different fuel rail and fuel injector took my old ones from blown motor cleaned them out them on boom! No check engine and running smooth! After 7 long months lol ? I think the computer does read that fuel rail or some idk
