Rostra makes a frameless auto dim mirror with Homelink V5 that also has a hidden compass in the upper right of the mirror. I've found one on ebay for $170 plus shipping. Rostra part number 250-8709-(CHEVY1020)  The Homelink is built in and not removable like the others posted in this thread. It says it's a direct plug in for the 10 pin plug that is already in our trucks.

As a side note the factory auto dim mirror works just fine in trucks without it. I picked one up cheap on ebay and it plugs right in and works fine. There is no programming or wiring needed. All these auto dim mirrors need are 3 wires, power, ground and reverse trigger. You technically don't even need the reverse trigger but it turns off the dimming when in reverse so it doesn't dim when backing out of your dark garage into bright sun.

I know this thread is older but I’d like to ask a question and include information from this thread. I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 without the convenience II package so no Homelink. I’ve been trying to add it. I did pickup a console that had sunroof, slider, and Homelink from a salvage yard. It had the exact same two harness slots that came off my original factory one however when I plugged it in, nothing worked… no map lights, nothing. Went back to my original console and everything workedso the truck is fine. My question is should any of the consoles that are replacement fits work?  Did I just get a bad salvage unit or does it matter which console I get?  My replacement was part 84816404 which was  advertised as fitting 2019-2022. I don’t know of a difference between 2022

and 2023. Any ideas here?

22 refresh and up went with a Global B electrical architecture. Do you have the new dash? The lower trim trucks still had the old style dash but I'm not sure if the electrical stuff had changed.

I believe I have the new dash.  I have a 2023 RST.  Do you think the harness, although the exact size, is actually configured differently and that's why my used part from a 2019 didn't work?  If that is true, then I would imagine a console with homelink from a 2023 or a 2022 refresh would work?

I know my Avalanche window switches didn't work when I swapped them with the trim from one I bought off ebay. Looked exactly the same and had the same plugs but didn't work the same. I would imagine a 22 or 23 console would work for you.

I looked at some new trucks last night on the dealer lot and it looks like the Homelink buttons are different than the pre refresh trucks. I shined a flashlight on it so it was difficult to tell exactly what was different but it didn't look like the buttons are backlit and it just has dots for the 3 buttons.
