I am looking for a great mechanic in Texas that can help/ educate me on fine adjusting a new CCC QJ I put on my 305 (1985 model).  I drilled out the plugs on top so I don't have to take the air horn off to adjust the lean stop and rich stop. I would not have touched them, except it was lean backfiring back through the carb.  I learned, via some old GM tech videos, that the CCC carb is looking to stay within a "happy window" of operation. So without the other special tools, I'm pretty much guessing if I've got them both set right.  I'm in San Antonio, and am willing to bring it to Corpus, Houston, Laredo, Austin, or DFW if the mechanic really knows his/her stuff with these.  Thanks for your help!
