Hey guys, this is my first post, been reading for years. Finally came to the point where I couldn’t find an answer.

I have a 2018 2500hd L5P with less than 60k on it. I heard a clunk in the front end and a very slight wheel shimmy at 20mph, 35mph (no specific speed) also it was intermittent and noticed the idler had some play in it. I replaced the with KRYPTONITE idler arm and bracket. I still have the same slight shimmy. Do I need to get an alignment after replacing the idler? Or should I start digging harder and replacing either control arms (ball joints) tie rods? Anything will help at this point.

Any update on this?

I brought it in for alignment, they said it was barely out, but enough to cause a shimmy. So they aligned and rotated tires. I still have a variable speed shimmy but is nothing like what it was before. I don’t think 37” tires is helping my cause. Waiting on KRYPTONITE uca’s to come in and going to throw a set of 35s on it. And hopefully that does it.
