Kooks 6.2 longtube headers and ultragreen catted y-pipe

Had an email discussion with them and received this in reply:

"The numbers we gathered for 2263H300 are max gain numbers, not peak numbers.  The max gain was 40 HP and 47 lb/ft on an OEM tune. "

I'd want dyno sheets from a few vehicles to back those claims up.

 

Where is it gaining 40 horsepower and 48 ft lbs?

 

Headers for sure gain power and more so in the upper rpm's but picking up 48 ft lbs under the peak torque range seems a little out in left field.

I would be very impressed if they gained 40 hp and 48 lbs from headers only and no tune. Seems a little ambitious.

Under the curve. I think peak gains would be more like 15-20 on a stock tune
