I have a 2002 GMC Sierra. For the life of me I cannot get the automatic headlights to disable. They stay on constantly when the truck is running and when the key is on. I have replaced the ambient light sensor, tried the resistor trick, tried pulling DRL fuses, tried new relays, tried a new switch. I want a more permanent solution than hitting the dome override. The headlights stay on even with the switch disconnected and I don’t understand how they still have power. I’m lost at this point. Thanks in advance.

Shot in the dark warning: The headlights are ground side switched so if you have a short to ground that could cause an always on scenario regardless of what the relay is doing. Have you looked into your grounds?
