Installing Strobes

I was wondering on who has had strobes installed on their trucks, preferred sources and type of lights. My old work truck had them placed into the grill and I don't remember the back of the truck. I prefer not to have it installed into the head light and tail light housings. I understand they will fog up and well may start leaking. I understand they are a sealed unit and very pricey for each fixture. I got this from the company installer that does about 100 trucks a year. I retired from there and have a difficult time to make contact with the installers.

You might take a look at a Speed Turtle 3.0.  I have one installed in my truck and it flashes just about everything with several available patterns.  It's plug and play and doesn't require modifying any of your lights.  I'm a volunteer firefighter and it was a lot easier to go that route on my 2500 compared to installing strobes.  Funny enough, it even flashes the little light on the tailgate handle.
