Just what it says guys. I need some ideas. All I can come up with is dinner, then the drag strip or putt putt. I hope the drag strip isn't a bad idea, because I already asked her. :D I'm this won't be the last so I need ideas for the next date. So help ole Speedy out.

Well on my wife's and mine's first date I took her to a nice restaurant. We sort of sat in the bar area. Bay Watch was on and she caught me staring at Pam Anderson's big round eyes  ! We laugh about still today. It does totally depend on the girl! If she likes the drag strip, she's a keeper! This may sound stupid, but after dinner that first date, we went to a local Playground, and just sat and talked about things on the swings. Nothing expensive, but I got to know her much better! Over 8 years together now, so something must have worked! Chris

Well the 2 dates I had when I was out in Vegas visiting my brother, his fiancee's co-worker and I did the dinner thing, then we hit a comedy club, then walked the strip and hit a few of the towers for the view...

So I'd suggest dinner(the obvious), perhaps comedy(or some other activity which gives you a little break from doing all the talking, yet still lets you see if she has a sense of humor or whatnot), and dessert or a walk(more time to talk and wrap things up)

well I met my gf at dairy queen. We talked for hmmm almost 45 min. Our first official date ending being a movie then hanging out at my house watching tv. I was supposed to go to her softball game but it was rained out. Guess i got lucky  Oh yea the movie was gone in 60 seconds. My truck at the time was only about a month old and through the whole movie i was flipping out worried if my truck was still gonna be there after the movie haha

I got tired of waiting, so I just went to the track by myself. Ran a 13.400 at 102.77mph  . So I'm happy, but I still want to know why the hell she didn't want to go. It wasn't that cold, only around 40*.

From experience, women get bored sitting in the stands. it may have been 40* out, but you were sitting in a warm car half the time, whereas she was either sitting in the stands or following me around in the pits. After awhile she refused to come to the strip with me anymore, she explained this to me.

I countered that I went to her Latvian functions where I didn't understand a word, the customs nor did I know anyone but her and her family, so I sat there twiddling my thumbs 99% of the time, but I did it for her. I spent many an hour doing taking her to boring plays (where I fell asleep often) and that I did it for her! After this little talk, she did come out again.

Anyway, for the first date, take her to a restaurant. It doesn't need to be a fancy 5 star deal, but a nice sit down place. Sports bars work too where you can sit and have a few drinks, get her loosened up, then take her home and have your way with her. I wouldn't take her to the drag strip on the first date unless she's into that sort of thing.

    • Brought my 2015 Colorado into the dealership to check my touch screen issues, had that ghost touch thing happening. They said I needed a new touch screen and they could either order me one for $500. The lady at the service deck was nice enough to tell me I could order a touch screen online for less, she did stipulate that the touch screen had to be factory OEM, you can't pair an aftermarket screen to my radio seeing it was 2015, it had to be a GM factory OEM only. I found a few on Amazon and Ebay by the numbers on the back of the old screen, DJ080PA-01A GM# 22740886, Some said "OEM" in the description and others just said "Replacement". Would a replacement be the same as a OEM as long as it had the same numbers on the back of the screen? In some of the descriptions they also show different brand names but same numbers, is that an issue?
    • I have both but typically use the 4 legged walker (wheels on front, ski's on back).   The four wheeler is starting to be used on "longer" outdoor walks.  The 4 legged walker is particularly helpful in practicing good walking posture.  Both of my knees are at different stages of recovery and I'm trying to not develop poor habits.  I can actually manage with a cane but it's very difficult not to favor one leg over the other.  My PT recommends I continue with my 4 legged walker for a while.  Yesterday was four weeks since my last knee replacement and I'm excited about my progress to date.  It has been a hell of a rough journey so far but it is exciting to witness  systematic and continuous improvement.  I went for years watching the decline of my "mobility".  It seems that everyday now I am alerting my wife to something I can do now that I couldn't a day or two ago!  I encourage anyone facing the prospect of knee replacement to share any concerns with others who have had the surgery.  It isn't an instant fix but rather is a considerable amount of short term pain for long term gain.  Recovery time and pain levels vary for individuals post surgery but the end results are typically very positive and I've never encountered anyone regretting having had the surgery.
    • The lifter issue can be dealt with by shorter oil changes and quality oil IMO.
    • Got heavy rain, hail and light rain yesterday.
    • I'm putting in an A-pillar pod/gauges, and I'm asking if anybody can identify a (preferably) fuse for a switched power and illumination circuit on the driver's side interior fuse panel. Offhand, everything I checked with a test light was constant-hot, and I'd much rather uses a piggyback fuse. I can certainly find a wire, but I'd rather not half-tap.   Thanks in advance for any help.
