My Silverado 1500 transmission heats up over 215 degrees when towing my Wolverine x2 sxs i can see itleast 1 transmission oil cooler and can not find anything about a aux transmission cooler should i be worried of the heat or is it a new normal to new trucks

Talk to your dealer if still under warranty.

 

Seeing 240-250 is not normal.

That’s too hot. You probably need to change the transmission fluid at this point. I’m sure it will have a brownish color to it running those temps. Your transmission cooler or part of that system is clogged or not flowing. Normally the cooler gets bypassed until it gets up to temp, but then should open up and start cooling the fluid which it does not seem like yours is doing.
