Alternator

Is there a quick way to tell what amp alternator I have in my 5.3 standard box AT4? I thought they came standard with 220 amp but my window sticker says 170. Looks like short box is 170 and standard box should be 220

Maybe the 2020 GMC build & price web site is screwed up. It also states that a transmission cooler and engine oil cooler is STANDARD with the short bed but OPTIONAL with the standard bed.

Looks like the only way with a 5.3 is with snowplow prep package

I believe max trailering pkg (NHT) also includes the 220a alternator. Except that you can't get NHT with AT4

For KW7  note 4 applies to AT4 and Denali

For KW5, note 5 applies to AT4 and Denali 

 

AT4 cannot be optioned with snowplow prep

On 1500 GMC, snowplow prep only available on base sierra, SLE and SLT
