I want to replace/upgrade my pitman arm because it's definitely a bit worn but I can't find online how to tell if my steering box has 3 splines or 4 splines. Maybe this is a silly question but I really don't want to uninstall the arm and then have to wait for the arm to ship after I look at it. Is there any way to tell on the build sheet or VIN or just by the make/model/trim?

You should be able to just remove the nut from the pitman arm and count the splines, then put the nut back on and wait for the part.

Or buy both from the parts store and return whichever one you didn't use.
