Blinker/Camera with trailer connected

Forgive me if this has been discussed. Searched and could not come up with anything. So I'm sure you all know when you have a trailer connected and use your blinker your screen shows your camera for that side of the truck. LOVE this feature. Wish it did it even without a trailer. Super handy on interstate. Anyone know how to trick the truck into thinking there's a trailer connected? I tried just plugging in a 7 pin test plug but that didn't work.

It’s been discussed a little but I haven’t seen anyone say they’ve done it and it works.
There was talk about taking a cheap trailer light kit with regular(non LED) bulbs and plugging it in and tossing the lights in the bed. Or tying them up under the bed.
Haven’t seen anyone actually do it, but there was talk of it.

there is a 7pin tow adapter that you plug into the bed outlet. it tricks the system into thinking there is a trailer plugged in.

not sure which one it is though

It does work but it also turns off your reverse sensors.  Deal breaker for me.

I have a 7 prong plug installed and sometimes the side camera works when I use the turn signals and sometimes it doesn't.
