Thermostat problem?

Anybody know the part number for the colder CTSV or ZR1 thermostat.

I must be lucky because my stock '16 L86 stat usually runs 175*-180* @ 70 MPH on the highway regardless of ambient temp. It doesn't act like it's stuck either because I get heat pretty quick even the last couple days when it's been bitter cold.

Warm idle it'll creep up but I've only seen over 200* maybe a couple times. And this is confirmed via OBD, not the useless gauge on the dash.

Agree.

According to the Scan Gauge II a gauge reading of 160 F is actually about 105 F, the next mark close to 125 F. The middle point between the gauges 160 and 210 is roughly 150 F. Where the needle is about 175 F and 210 F by the gauge reads 200 to 215 F without moving a needles breadth. With the factory 207 F thermostat it reads straight up. With the Reische Racing 170 F stat about what you see in the photo.

I realize that and I don’t know why they put it that way!
Mine is digital/display, and I got trans fluid temperature 100% accurate, but cooler temp is not!

Is there as much difference between you dash and scan tool as there is between my gauge and scan tool? Curious.

Just record reading at a cold start

This is it:

(Digital Display Gauge — OBD Scan)

160 F — 100~102 F

172.5 F — 116 F

185 F — 138~139 F

197.5 F — 161 F

201 F — Stays there in the middle from 183 F

I use Metric (Celsius) not Imperial (Fahrenheit), so from (84 C until 105 C) it stays in the middle (100 C), it will exceed that when the vehicle reaches 106 C (which is 222.8 F)

I have gone through 4 thermostats in the last 8 months some get stuck open some get stuck closed it’s honestly driving me crazy I can’t figure it out. Im sick and tired of buying them and replacing over and over

I'm pretty sure you've already done a full coolant replacement?
Might be some old coolant fouling the thermostat?
