On a 2020 2500 duramax with 2 batteries, which battery did you wire your winch to, driver or passenger side?

Plan to use quick connects at the front and rear, winch will go in a receiver cradle.  Will leave enough cable to also use the winch on my equipment trailer if needed.

Greetings   I was planning on the same with the receiver hitch mount.    can I ask what size winch you went with?   It seems the 2020 2500 HD is a bigger truck and I was wondering if a 12000 line pull would be enough to get it out of a bad situation?

Don't think anyone has ever complained about having "to much" winch.

Had a wrecker owner tell me all I need is a good 8000lb winch and a snatch block.  I bought a warn m8, double that to 16000 with a block.  I don't have any intentions of taking this truck anywhere to get it hung bad enough to need the winch, more likely I will have the need to pull out other equipment like my tractor.

On a 2020 2500HD with one battery, (on the passenger side), where did you attach the negative cable from the winch? The positive terminal on the battery has a sturdy lug and nut, and will easily accept a decent size eyelet for the 2 gauge battery cable from the winch, but the 10 mm attachment at the negative battery terminal looks too weak and fragile to be attaching a 2 gauge cable.1299220332_Sierrawinchmount.thumb.jpg.4352eabef41a4eb8e2ae77998d6a752d.jpgle to.

Is there a slot you can use on the fuse block on the battery?  Mine had three unused slots, on of which I used for my camper dc to dc charger.

On my driver side battery, there were three points of attachment for the hot side.  I went with the unfused terminals.  I cannot say for the one battery setups.  I wired anderson quick connects to the winch and ran the wire from my battery to my new bumper and used an anderson quick connect there.  I plan to also run to the back bumper, already have my cables and connector, just have to crawl under the truck and get it done when I find the time.
