My 2021 Yukon XL is now in for service because when you push the Start button it continuously cranks but wont turn over... Just another fun issue with this vehicle.

It was in my garage and when the tow truck came we couldn't figure out how to put it into neutral without actually starting the car and get it out of the garage. Called the Dealer and they didn't know how to do it if the engine was not running (granted it was a saturday so they ddint have their A-Team working the service department). I likely missed it in the manual, but any advice on how to switch to Neutral when you have power, but can't start the engine?

Per the gen 4 manual, page 9-22, paragraph 2, pressing the button to the ACC/Accessory position allows the vehicle to be pushed or towed.  You have a gen 5, but I don't suspect there will be much difference.

Foot off the brake, press and hold the start button for 5-10 seconds.  It will turn the truck into the RUN mode which will let you shift it in to neutral with the engine off.

If the truck was dead dead so no battery power and can't be jumped and replacing the battery doesn't fix it, dealer has a special tool to put it in to neutral.

Perfect, thanks very much. Was driving me crazy trying to figure it out. Appreciate the response.

I had a Yukon a little while back and was having issues left and right. Contacted California Lemon law Center to see if something could be done about it; they were able to get all my payments back and even some on top. Would highly recommend any of you who are experiencing issues with your cars to reach out and see if you have a case.
