Why can't I find a replacement dash for 2001 silverado 1500....only covers or caps.

Don't know why you can't find them...may be because it's a 20 yr old part, not often replaced and has been discontinued.  More than likely, you'll have to chase one down in a U-Pull-It lot

Thanks for such a fast response... I was thinking the same....but just found 1 place that can get a new one... I hope they're right.

Probably because everyone's had broken steppers and needed replaced. Hard to find them in the yard even sometimes. I thought for sure you could get them rebuilt from a few places when I was looking a couple years ago.

Edit: oops I thought you were talking about a cluster not the actual dash. My bad.
