Where does Nav info come from?

I don’t think I have Navigation in my truck (2021 Denali).  However, as I drive around, my display (Home Screen) shows the speed for the road I’m on next to the speed I’m traveling.  Also, in the navigation screen, it does indicate what road I’m on.  I’m trying to figure out where this information comes from and whether or not I’m going to lose it.  I’m thinking it’s a function of OnStar, which I have a trial subscription that came with the truck.  If, so, I’m also thinking I will lose this function when my subscription ends given that I don’t see me paying for OnStar.  Anyone know where this information is coming from?

Okay.  Thanks.  I didn’t see that in anything I read.  It must be standard with the Denali?  I use my phone, so I was more focused on the wireless Apple Play and Waze, than the nav function from GM.  Seeing it though, I was hoping it’s not something I’d lose when OnStar expires.

Yes it’s standard on your truck. You will lose traffic data and a few other little things but the nav still works just fine without Onstar. I like how the factory nav integrates into the cluster and HUD so I use it often.
