Right turn signal turns to flashers GMC Sierra 1500 2004

This is really odd but occasionally when activating the right turn signal it will show as flashers on the dash this happens very rarely and is corrected by just moving it back to the resting position and then signaling again. I can never tell if its actually activating both signals or if its just showing on the dash incorrectly. I have checked all my bulbs and they are in working order. What should I check next?

 

My truck is a GMC Sierra 2004 4.3L Automatic 2WD.

it could be a lose wire, or a poor ground.  That might actually be from the multifunction switch that controls your wipers, signals cruise etc. Since the problem is rare it will be extremely hard to know exactly what wire/wires or if it is that control. It could even be your actual cluster display.  Ive read where the soldering can sometimes be faulty or break lose and cause some odd things to show. There are plenty of how to's to fix that issue.
