Aaron Geiger Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 i have a 2003 silverado 1500 4x4 it is making a weird pop sound from the front end when i make sharp slow turns. for example, if i back out of my driveway at full lock to the right then put it into drive and turn the wheel to the left it makes a loud pop shortly after starting to move forward. does anyone know what this could be?
CamGTP Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 (edited) A bad CV axle can make a pop noise or clicking when turning. Check all your other front ends parts too. Check the ball joints, tie rods and steering linkage/pitman/idler arms for play. Edited May 17, 2021 by CamGTP 1
Brian715 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 I've had control arm bushings make popping noises too. 1
