Driving down the freeway today my 2019 Silverado LT 5.3 decided to stall.

Coasted to side of road and began troubleshooting.

-All guages, gas, oil pressure, temp, besides the voltage were at zero

-Lack of steering assist message popped up

-Check lights were like an xmas tree

-Restarting wouldn't work

-Battery terminals clean

-No fuel leaks, and had 3/4 tank.

Gave the truck 5 minutes and tried to restart again with success... for a couple seconds. And another stall out.

Towed it home and began researching.

I took battery out, cleaned terminals well.

Took off the grounding wire and reconnected.

Unplugged the electric inside the cab (passenger dash/door jam), and refastened.

Voila! Restart and ran at idle for 5 minutes then stalled again.

Dealership wont open until Tuesday and I'm looking for some insight and knowledge as I'd like to turn some wrench myself and have some leftover dough for bills at the end of the month.

Thanks in advance!

it sounds like you have already checked cables but might check the ground cable and i think there is a braided one somewhere you might check.  i had similar issue with my 2014 but it was more like not having a battery at all and after a few seconds most of the time it would start right back up without problems.  Good luck and hope you find it before taking to mechanic.
