Dually bed swap

Does anyone know if I can put a 2020 bed on a 2004. Would love answers with details.

I'm going to say no.

 

2004 specs are:

 

Standard bed, 77 inches.

Long bed, 96 and 5/8 inches.

 

2020 specs are:

 

Standard bed 79.44 inches.

Long bed, 98.18 inches.

 

The beds are bigger and the frames are totally different on the new trucks because the cabs are bigger and the overall lengths of the trucks are something like 10 inches longer than the previous year trucks.

You can, with enough time, money and effort.

 

It doesn't just bolt up, and the body style is completely different.
