Not sure when it started, doesnt always happen, but when it does its under slown speed, basically during backing up or turning (not full turn)

I crawled under yesterday to just visual inspect to see if anything looked worn, or damaged. It almost seems like binding, but like i said doesnt always happen, the only thing that stood out was i believe the stabilizer end link on that side, the rubber was pretty shiny /clean where as everything else was pretty dirty.  Also noticed that one tire is worn pretty low on the outside portion of the tire. The rest of my tires are pretty evenly worn out,

IF that is the culprit, is that easy to replace or tighten? I know ill need an alignment check or done in order to make sure everything is ok, seems ill need new tires soon. just cant afford to do it all at once.. So need to do it one thing at a time..

I've added the part that i believe may be causing the pop, but could just be normal wear that im seeing on that area.

How can i inspect or troubleshoot this noise at home? I mean i can have my wife do the turning of the wheels while i just watch the suspension and see if anything is noticeable.

I do have a automotive stethoscope that i can poke around while she does the turning.. just not sure what else i can do before shelling out some money to have some mechanic take a look at it.

Also something about the noise, yesterday while inspecting, i turned on the truck, turned the wheel in both directions maxing out the turns and it never made the noise, so it seems to only be while in motion.

Anyone have any idea or suggestions on what to inspect and look for/at?

My suspension and UCA's are no longer stock but check out the UCA bolts and make sure they're tight. I noticed a popping noise occasionally when I would turn and 3 days later I got on in my truck and could barely turn the wheel to the right, it was like the electronic steering went out. I got out and looked quickly and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary so I went to work and just took right turns slow. Stopped for gas on the way home and noticed the driver side UCA was shoved way into the engine compartment because the bolt and bushings were completely gone.

Dropped off the truck at the dealer this morning for this and a few other things and right off the bat they called and said that because of the lift, they couldnt pin point the issue(seems like BS) stated that the lift was causing some binding. But how or why would this start 4 years after the lift was done? the only thing done on the front end since the lift was done was the drivers side upper control arm was replaced. But honestly cant remember if this noise has been around since then or way after.

Once i get the truck back, ill be rechecking all bolts on the lift to make sure they are all still torqued to spec.

$150 diagnostic charge later and no fix because its not covered under the warranty, they are "recommending that the upper and lower control arms be checked and ensure that they are torqued to spec, they believe, since they didnt want to touch it without warranty approval, thats what they believe to be the issue with the popping, so looks like ill be working on it this week.

Have same issue now,

this is after the 2” rough country level kit.

in dealer under warranty, we’ll see what they find and if they deny because level.. frustrating as hell

Good luck, weather permitting ill be checking all suspension bolts and nuts to ensure they are to spec.

Ok so I would’ve bet my life the noise was coming from front end, we’ll it turns out the noise was coming from rear end leaf springs.

installed that “spring things” thing and noise is gone, spent a few hours today going through front end with torque wrench, removed sway bar entirely, etc.

I was completely sure it was front end until someone listened outside truck and walked next to it.

So a little update on this issue.. I took a look at all suspension components and checked all bolts and nuts and nothing was loose or showed any signs of protentional issues. I had to take the truck in for a few other warranty items, so i added the noise to the list of things they needed to check. The next day i got a call back from the dealer stating that they wouldn't and couldn't touch the suspension since it had been lifted and that was not covered, BUT that they did find some loose parts. So told them don't touch it, ill take it back to where i got it done to take a look. ( i did the install back in 2018 when i got the truck ) so not sure what they found or were talking about because before taking it to them, i had checked all suspension parts and made sure everything was torqued to spec.  Once i picked up the truck i noticed that the noise was no longer there and hasn't happened since that day and its been few months now.. could they have actually found something and torqued it down and not charged me for the work or even acknowledged they touched it?

Few weeks ago i had my door lock stop working on the back door and battery issues, so this time i took it to another mechanic(not a dealership) and asked that while they had it, to check it out again just to see if they found anything because that one front tire was wearing out on the outside of the tire. The had the truck for a few days and was told that they didn't find anything either, had the alignment checked and said that the alignment camber was barely out of spec, but couldn't for sure say if that caused the wearing on the tire since it was so minor, but as for the popping, they couldn't find any issues with the suspension. So I'm at a loss on what the pop was and why its not there after the dealership, which states they didn't touch anything.
