Tuktuk Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 Hello guys. hope you guys are doing good! I was checking under the hood of my truck yesterday, and i spotted this weird spot. seems like it has a thread inside. Is this normal? All new 2021 gmc has this? Im going for a long drive this sunday, just wanna know before i go.
CamGTP Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 Lots of parts are have thread holes that aren't used, either for when the part was made or because it's used on another platform with the same style engine. I can't tell what part that is seeing how it's covered up by everything else.

No idea what it's for, but you're not missing anything.
Whiskeyranch Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Could’ve been used as a mounting hole for a handhold during assembly? Just a thought.
