Trailer camera for 2021 GMC Sierra 1500

Purchased a new 2021 GMC Sierra SLT to tow a 2021 Rockwood 26ft trailer. When the trailer dealer tried to install the ordered rear camera on the prewired Furrion camera mount they could not get it to work indicating they were not getting needed voltage/current to the mount from the truck.  A bit of research has uncovered that this is a common problem with new 2021 GMC trucks. Has anyone found a camera system that works with the 2021 GMC trucks or found a work around for the low voltage/current problem.  Much appreciate any input.

Look into this adapter from Furrion - its supposed to handle this issue:  https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Furrion/FR74FR.html - I however went with the GM Camera (I have the 2-camera 360 view option) that displays on the center console, instead of the Furrion System.  I found that adapter when I was researching trailer camera systems.

I'm in the same boat.  I recently traded my 2019 Canyon on a 2021 Sierra 1500 SLT.  I assumed that since the truck only provides power, switching trucks would not matter.  Not so.  I had the nasty surprise of my cameras not working yesterday when I hooked up my travel trailer for the first time.  Also a Rockwood 26 foot (mini lite 2506s).

 

Etrailer is my go to place for such things and they sell two different adapters that go between the trucks 7 way connector and the trailer's connector.  But.....both have notes saying they don't work on 21' s.  User reviews show good results for 19 and 20 Silverado and Sierra so I can't imagine why a 21 wouldn't work.

 

  Has anyone tried one of these with a 21?

Just got a 2021 Sierra this month and had the same problem with my trailer backup camera not staying on. Got this $20 harness from Amazon and spliced it inline to my camera. Camera stays connected now.
