Tailgates and beds.

Got a 1992 K2500 and the bed is pretty rusty. Also the tailgate sucks. Can I exchange for a later model tailgate or even the whole bed? Love this old school manual .  .  .

Will a later bed/tailgate fit the original mounts and the 1992 cab? New to restoring this truck.

i think they changed dimensions of bed in 2000, so im not positive , but i think they  will not fit
