I have always tried to use generally accepted accessories (toolbox, nerf bars, bedrails).

I also like to add factory options from other models (Denali Grille,SWC, C3 rims, switches, etc.)

With respect to performance mods, I try to choose mods that can be removed for resale (never get any money on a trade, no matter what the mod)

What to you guys think?

I've spent most of my $ on performance mods. The exterior paint work was done by a friend, so I saved quite a few $$ there.

I usually go for the 'sleeper' look myself  :withstupid:

I'm SURE you know which one I selected!  :withstupid:

Although as a word of advice, work from the ends up.  By that I mean start with a cat-back on the exhaust side and open up the air intake on the intake side.  You'll need to do those anyway if you plan on doing serious mods later down the road so better off starting those first and work your ways towards the motor.

I will join the performance group :withstupid: I am not concerned about the ultimate resale value since this truck is going to be with me for a long time, and the way things are going we probably won't be allowed to have an 8.1L gas engine in a few years - they will be confiscated along with guns, and french fries

I think looks are very important.  (Reason I got my baby painted) Then wheels and tires.  (tires are a major performance mod!)  After that Go for the engine mods heh.  All show, then go.  But I like trucks with moderate lifts, so they still retain usefullness.  I still wanna be able to haul 3500 lbs in the bed after all is said and done.

I didn't vote because I am on the fence about a couple of them.  I tend to go from one to the next, and back and forth.  Most recent mods, higher wattage bulbs, painting parts, cat back.  Plus it takes me a while to save up the fundage!

I voted other because I do some of each.  I like the factory parts because they have been tested.  I add some parts from each category to improve upon what is already there.  I normally don't go too overboard with the mods.  All of the mods I do can be taken off at a later date without damage to the truck. :D

General, that was my intent with utilitarian(more truck-ish).  Mods to add usability of the truck as a tool.
