So I finally pulled the code. Looks like a pretty generic code, loss of signal. U0137. Could this be a bad ground? Any insights? Anyone ever have this code?

Check ground G400.  On the frame at the rear most crossmember.  Find the junction panel where the tail lights are, then look to the right.  You will see a single wire coming off the main bundle to a ground location.  Check that one and clean if necessary.

You are the man, newdude. I know this thread is pretty old now, thank you so much for following up. I ironically have an appt next Wednesday at the dealer, so I will clean that ground this weekend and report back.

Are you a gm tech? You seem extremely knowledgeable. Thanks again.

Well, I cleaned that ground and that still didn't do it either. I really am out of ideas at this point. See if the dealer can find anything Wednesday.

Well, I finally have a resolution. Had my dealer diagnose it and they actually found the harness rubbed through on the frame near the rear wheel well. Looks like there's a mounting bracket for the brake lines is what did it. They repaired the harness and all good to go now. Thanks to all for the help troubleshooting.

NWI Denali Do you happen to have the harness part number they replaced? or a pic of the location it was rubbing at?

This is driving me crazy!!

I have not seen where exactly they repaired the harness, just going off of their word. They said where it runs along the frame rail near the driver rear wheel well.

Are you getting the service trailer brakes message? Have you replaced the other 3 parts like I did as well?

If you don't mind, how much did they charge you for that fix?
