I am trying to get an idea of what my truck might look like with a mild lift of about three inches. I have seen plenty of z71's and such but would like to see some others who have lifted thier 2wd's

I know this is kinda late (I just joined). I had a '94 Sierra EC 2WD and put Fabtech spindles (3" front, 1" blocks rear). I sat even with a factory Z71 of that year. Not very pleased after the close to $500 install (including alignment).

However, since you have a 2001 reg cab, I would do a search on "2wd lifts" in here. Or go to Fabtechmotorsports.com to find your best application. I got mine from Summitracing.com that had a rebate at the time.

To answer your question without pictures, you will need an offset front lift of 3-4" and a rear lift (blocks or add a leafs) of 1 1/2-2". I just don't know if you will be happy with mild lift.

Nowadays, it is cheaper to lift a 2WD than a 4WD... A 6" lift might be what you want, since you are starting from a lower front end stance. Up to you, what kind of tires do you plan to fit?

Thats why I am trying to get a look at one thats been tinkered with. I think I would be quite happy if it sat just a hair higher than a z71 with some nice sized BFG A/T's, not too much bigger than the stock 30" tires just enough that you notice them. Even bringing the front up level would make me happy for a while I'm sure.

Just looking for a slight attitude adjustment for my truck, or kicking around the idea of it anyway. If things get too out of hand then Im looking at wheels, tires, lift, differential, etc. No way am I going to spend five grand on something so silly, like I said, just looking for a slight attitude adjustment.

Hi,

I have a 2001 Silverado sportside NBS with Daystar coil springs spacers. This lifts the front end about 2 ". Looks real good. I'm looking at a 2" bodylift for this spring.

I don't have any photos at the moment (it's damm cold(-25 C) up here in Quebec.

Did you have to get new shocks? Was the install difficult?

If you're talking about the DAYSTAR coil springs spacers. YES! This not a backyard project. Almost a 3 hour job (plus an alignement) in a suspension shop.
