2022 Denali HD Rear window shattered closing the door!

I did some research and it looks like there was a recall in the 2015-19 Denali rear windows shattering.

 

Well its happening on the 22 Denali also! got in this morning closed the door and BAM shattered in million pieces

 

GMC said its not warranty! its only 3 weeks old!

 

anyone have a contact i can call to gmc?

Last gen window shattering is not the same problem as yours... if it is, that's just sad, good job gm 

 

So I'm assuming you got in your truck after a remote start, and rear defrost was on?

Have your insurance take care of it and they will pursue GM, that's what you pay them for.  It's a comprehensive claim since it's glass, not an accident.

Going to be hard proving its a factory defect so insurance is the way to go.   They won't argue with you.

 

Usually, a spontaneous break in your auto glass likely started as a crack or some other damage that went unnoticed.   Lots of things can happen to vehicles in 3 weeks not to mention the time in transit etc.
