New owner of a 21 Custom Trailboss and looking to install a curved light bar. I searched the forums and I’m not sure if I’m just not typing correct key words but can’t seem to find any help.

I’ve found 50”, 52”, 54” curved light bars (universal) and my only thought is I need truck specific brackets for the specific size curved light bar I purchase.

I’ve been having some trouble confirming that the light bar brackets are specific to my truck AND the width of a universal light bar, since let’s face it the brackets have to be different lengths of the bar is longer/shorter…

any suggestions?

Are you wanting to install on the roof, grill, or front bumper?

Welcome - check rough county. But you will get alot of wind noise.  Put it behind the grill

They've come up with a fix for it (see below). Can't say I would know because I'm looking to install LEDs on my '21 AT4 as well and I have no clue where to start since most websites say "This item will not fit your vehicle". Its so frustrating!

That’s the diffuser I’m installing as well, just the mounts seem to only fit up to 2018 models for the curved light bars. Some sites when I enter my vehicle info say the mounts for 2018 models fit my truck even when they say 2015-2018 on the parts. I might just say screw it and buy a cheap set to see if they fit a 2021 and if not I’m out $50 or less.

Been there.  I like lots of light, and these light bars look really cool.  When I bought my 2015 Silverado 1500, I went all in, bought and mounted a very nice, curved light bar...ended up removing it.  Here's why.  Wind Noise: The wind noise was ridiculous.  I had to put silicone in between the cooling fins (in, and along the first 3" from both outside edges), just to dampen high pitch hum enough to make it tolerable doing anything over 45mph.  Turbulence:  Over the cab turbulence, which for me was relatively non-existent, except in high winds, and maybe a little over 70mph.  Washout:  What really turned me off though, was that, when I would turn on the lights, the entire hood of the truck was washed out by the light.  I mean, Friday Night Lights...bouncing right up off my black hood so bad, it took away from being able to at any distance.  Didn't matter how high I aimed the light.

I've found that a small, but powerful lightbar, mounted behind the grill, throws much better light on trail, and produces zero glare over the hood.  My opinion/advise:  Go behind the grill, you will not regret it.

I think I have the T1 with the most lights (that's almost embarrassing to say out loud).  40" light bar over roof, 2 ditch lights near the base of the A pillars, the Rough Country dual 10" lights in my grille, and more that's not relevant to this post.  A good led bar won't do the washout discussed above.  I have Baja Designs in all but the grille (I'm looking into changing this to Baja Designs though).  I don't have any wind noise at any speed, and I've maxed the speed on the truck with all this on.  If your goal with a curved lightbar is total coverage, then get a good straight lightbar with lenses that'll scatter the light left and right.  You get what you pay for.  For example, the Rough Country lights in the grill are garbage.  Baja Designs lights are much more expensive, for a good reason.  Be wary of what type of lightbar you purchase.  Btw, the lightbar over my roof is mounted on top of the GM Accessories sportbar.  It sits a few inches above the roof.  No whistle, or any other noise coming from it.

You could go old school Fall Guy and mount leds on top of a fake roll bar. I love square bodies.

I loved that show when I was a kid, and did exactly this.  GM calls it a sportbar.

"Fall Guy" that's a good reference for old school, gotta love it, but does that reflect our age??? 🤔

I'd rather be Gen X than Gen Y or Millennial.  The 80s and 90s were good.  I'm glad I got to live through them.
