Has anybody herd of or are running aftermarket exhaust on there 3.0 duramax?
Only one I found was a cat back PPE system but has no reviews or videos.

And has anybody ever ran into a problem with adding something like this to there lease? I asked my salesman if I could add this exhaust system and a s&b cold air intake to in and he told me no as it would void warranty and lease coverage. However S&b states otherwise.

thanks

Magnusson Moss act prevents OEMs from invaliding warranty due to aftermarket parts. OEM would need to prove the aftermarket part caused a failure to deny warranty coverage. They simply can’t blanket deny warranty claims based on aftermarket installation.

GM can void your warranty if they find that the intake or exhaust caused the problem.  So if you had a MAF sensor issue, or regen issue and it was found that the intake was causing it, GM can deny warranty repair on it.

PPE exhaust will do nothing other than give you a different looking tip and is only 1/2 inch larger diameter than stock.  Factory is 3.5".  Has no performance gains and also loses the exhaust cooling openings which are needed to cool down exhaust outlet temps during regen.

I'd save the $600 and just get one of the GM clamp on tips.

Because you are leased you may have something in your contract about modifications. I have an extended warranty but it's useless to me because the contract state's there's zero tolerance for modifications. No if's, and's or but's. But like newguy said, modifications, "Can" void your warranty. An aftermarket air intake may give you some grief if you ever take your truck in for transmission shifting issues etc. Aftermarket cat-back won't (Shouldn't) give you any problems... unless maybe you take it in for noise or vibrations issues.
