6.6 Gas direct fit muffler delete

Has anyone tried this Magnaflow muffler delete on their 6.6 gas? I am aware that it’s intended for a 6.2 1500, but I’m curious if it fits. 
 

As a separate question, is it better to just get an exhaust shop to weld in a piece of 3.5” pipe?

If you want it deleted ID just order a stainless 3 1/2 pipe from summit racing and bring it to your local muffler shop to weld it in. I had a borla xr1 round body 3.5 in/out with some extra pipe put in place of stock muffler and it sounds great, no drone in cab but nice rumble on outside.

Have you tried this muffler dealer pipe on The 6.6? Was wondering the same thing.

It's ridiculous to spend almost 300 bucks on a piece of pipe and two clamps. Just buy a piece of 3.5 in stainless from summit racing and bring it to a local muffler shop to install.

My experience is a straight pipe out the back has little consequences in the cab, but put a 90degree bend and it fills the cab.
