Hi Folks,
Got into the truck this morning, started and let 'er run for a while. I always do this, but especially in cold weather. Got er warmed up, pushed both heat bars up and turned on the blower.
Lotsa hot air coming out the cab vents. Tried to split the flow to floor/cab setting. No change. Tried same with windshield/floor, no change.
So, new mode actuator? Can I tweak actuator manually?
Advice appreciated!
Thanks!

Yes is the blend door actuator.  I had same exact issue.  Manually move the white lever all way up and it will blow out front vents.  I did the same.  Move that duct out of way to get easy access.

Thanks, Brendan! Just to be sure, this fix will shift the flow from the cab/AC vents down to the floor. Right?

I'm pushing 80 and I'm gotten real attached to this truck. An even stronger attachment comes from the stickers on the new Silverados. Not to mention the don't make my Extended cab+8' bed any more. I've taken good care of her, only 150k. My wife owns our daily driver.

Your help is much appreciated!

All way up is just though front vents.  3/4 way up is vents/floor.  1/2 way(right in middle) would be just floor vents.  All way down would be defroster.  Am pretty sure anyway.  May have to tweek it.  I believe it follows how the the switch is.  From first(front vents only) to last(defroster).  Easy enough to move and get it just the way you want it.
