2022 2022 GMC 1500 SLE Duramax Payload Max Tow

Hello all, first post here… researching a 2022 GMC 1500 SLE duramax. For 2022 the max tow option is available, which from what I understand bumps GVWR 200lb. 
 

I’m trying to make sure I can achieve a payload rating of 1800 in a “stripped down” SLE tow rig. Crew cab, standard bed duramax with max tow. 
 

Anyone have any payload stickers available? Or maybe a similar 2021 duramax that I could add 200lb of payload to for a rough estimate? 
 

Thanks. I’m currently in a 2018 F150 with 2333lb payload. I need 1800 minimum.

I have a 2022 GMC Seirra 1500 SLT with 3.0L Duramax. I also pull a 29' travel trailer.

My vehicle info is as follows:

Vehicle Weight	5728
GCWR	15000
GVWR	7200
Trailer Gross Weight	7600

I don't think any NHT max trailer diesels have been built yet?  If there are, there is very few out there.

Max tow package was not available on 2022LTD 3.0L trucks. 

 

It first becomes available with the LM2 on the 2022 refresh trucks  (2022.5?)

 

It is not available on all trims.

You probably already have this info but here goes:

 

Doesn't list what trim is used for the numbers (they call it 'nominal equipment'). 

Option weight added will reduce available payload.  The 'weight calculator isn't up yet to assist with option weights.

 

2022 4wd standard bed refreshed truck (sierra)

Base Payload, [w/ LM2 and NHT],   lbs.   1830 

Base Payload, [w/ LM2],   lbs.      1770  (which is a 60 lb difference, not a 200 lb difference)

 

For the short bed 4wd  LM2 &  NHT 1870

 

Tow rating

2022.5 crew, standard bed, 4wd

LM2  8,800

LM2 & NHT 12,900 

 

So a jump in tow rating, but not much in payload.

Not what you're asking about, but 2500 crew, gas or diesel, standard  or long, 2wd or 4wd, and payloads should be over 3000

So the heavier springs, axle, 3.73 rear end, etc must add 140 (200 - 60) pounds to the vehicle weight.  Might get more payload with 4 cylinder turbo, but your towing capacity drops to 9600 pounds and you get the 8 speed.

 

I spent time looking at 2021s and payload at dealer lots and youtube videos.  Look at the last 2 in the list, they are above 1800.  Add 60 pounds payload for NHT and you are around 1850 pounds payload.  Perhaps the 2022s are heavier than the 2021s, or the GMC is heavier than the Chevy.  If you aren't maxing out your payload that often and are pulling a trailer, put the spare tire in the trailer.  Be nice if they offered the carbon pro bed on all the trucks to increase the payload by 100 pounds.  Here is my list (all based of the stickers on the trucks).

Probably what I’ll end up doing. My current F150 has a payload of 2333lb. I was hoping to get a small diesel around 2000lb but ain’t happening!

2020 Silverado 4x4 RST NON max tow with duramax crew cab standard bed my payload is 1808 lbs. max tow weight is 9200lbs. 
Max tow package could probably see 2000+ lbs payload.
