Silverado High Desert package removal.

Hey everyone, I tried looking it up to see if this was already answered but couldn’t find anything. 
I’m thinking of taking the high desert bed package off the truck but have a couple questions before I get started. Has anyone removed the high desert package from their truck? If so how was the removal? Was it screwed/bolted down through the bed? Anything I should know before I get started? Thanks in advance for the help.

I dont have any experience with the high desert but if you took it off how much would you want for it/location. Ive kinda always wanted one but none are for sale. Good luck in any case!

I haven’t really given it much thought yet but once’s it’s off I’ll let you know. I’m around Chicago, Illinois.

Did you end up removing it? I am looking to do the same and ironically in the Chicago area as well.
