Ok, I know its early, I had an 88 Bronco years ago that I used out on the beach for surf fishing, Got rid of the 4x4 had a few 4x2's and now have a new 4x4 that I'm tagging for the beach this year. I know the Duramax is heavy, I'll be using it on the beaches of Delaware mostly. Any suggestions, comments, ,,, also anyone else do any surf fishing around this area?

I fish in OBX.....best advice is air down your tires.....I usually put mine down to about 15 lbs in the blazer....there wasn't a whole lotta power behind them so I needed the biggest footprint I could get. 2nd peice of advice, that has been the death of every person I have ever pulled out of the sand is, if you start to get stuck don't gun it, and try to dig your way out, you'll only dig deeper. Stop and try and back out of your tire tracks. Besides that, you should be fine. I don't know about delaware, but watch out for cops...I got my first speeding ticket on the beach at OBX.....$127 bucks for doing 25 in a 15....which was total BS...but thats a different story.

Oh yeah I always like to give myt truck a nice bath after I get home too...get all the salt spray off.....last peice of advice, if you see a puddle, and you know you won't get stuck, and you drive through it, make sure the windows in the direction the wind is blowing are closed....I still have sand in my headliner from that mistake.......but it sure must have looked neat from outside the truck
