Just wondering if anybody has had this issue. After having mine engine oil cooler lines completely replaced today I took a further look at my vehicle and realized that it hard shifts, shutters at 40 miles an hour, and at 70 miles an hour.. it appropriately shifts. Any recommendations. It’s a 2019 Sierra 1500 AT4 had it for 2 months…. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes take it to the dealer and have them put the new undated trans fluid in, its a TSB and you wont be charged. I had mine done over a year ago and my trans is smooth as butter now.

Ok awesome will do. As soon a I felt it doing this I was like you’ve got to be joking. I lost all hope lol. What is “undated” trans fluid tho. Were you having the rpms fluctuating as well in low 1000’s?

I was getting the same thing you described and the new updated Mobile 1 fluid fixed it. They will flush the old fluid out of the trans and in with the new. Read here.  8-Speed GM Transmission Problems Fixed Via New TSB | GM Authority

So the trucks back at the dealer, said I wasn’t eligible for the flush but they said they may be diving deeper into the transmission. They immediately gave me a loaner so I’m guessing they’re plannning on doing big things.. 😕

Update***

min getting a new torque converter but waiting for it to come in since it’s back ordered. With the converter it’s also getting the flush so it can get the mobile 1 trans fluid. And since we’re kinda in a storm I realized now my rear window is leaking hahaha did I hit the GM jackpot?

At least they are addressing the issue and fixing it. As for the rear window, that is a crap shoot it seems but let them know.

Any tips you can give on what you said or what their diagnostic process was?

I have been fighting the same issue. Had the flush already. Basically told me it has to get worse before they do anything. But admitted the torque converter going into lockup when it shouldnt.

Honestly, I have had an amazing dealer throughout this nightmare. Currently it’s getting the torque converter today and fluid flush since the first one didn’t solve the issue but GM is crazy when it comes to warranty servicing even though it’s a known issue and giving problems. My biggest piece of advice would be to find a dealer that is going to advocate on your behalf. I mean there isn’t a class action for nothing. Every known issue with these trucks I have had so far. Next is the leaking back window 😀

But also I would ask them to put it in writing that they are declining repairs so if it gets worse and something else on the trans fail you are covered

So update to the transmission stuff. The kicking jerking hesitation, shudder is back just like before after the torque converter was placed so they once again did a system relearn and want me to drive 500 miles. So far at 75 and it is still doing it have 60400 miles but have warranty from previous repairs from trans
