Gotta be careful throwing that word around nowadays. Wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

So another stupid question; I ordered a new GM accumulator for the harsh 1-2 upshift issue. It arrived today and it sounds like there's loose parts inside it.

Is that normal? I'd rather ask a stupid question beforehand than install a broken part.

Thanks

Seriously? No one can recall handling a new accumulator?

Nobody has one out in the garage, getting ready to replace it?

C'mon fellas.

So yes, the "loose parts" sound is normal. I went to a local transmission shop this morning and asked. Guy said there is some free space between the piston and spring to allow for travel before they meet.

GM part number is 24220142
