at4 rattle at idle 6.2 with video help!

the truck has made the rattle since march 

 

my truck went into the shop in mid march 

and they replaced valve body , transmission control module, and the transfer case actuator 

 

and just got it back a week ago and it’s still makes this random rattle at idle

How loud is the sound with the hood open?

 

Any low hanging wires that might be contacting a skid plate or something? Kind of sounds like plastic hitting metal or something.

was finally able to duplicate it at the dealer with the shop foreman and service advisor 

 

the rattle starts when going over a spend bump 

 

and also made the same rattle when I shut the engine off

 

and when I closed the door , it made the same rattle 

 

taking it in on tuesday

a rock for inside of the transmission mount and was causing the rattle

Wow give your service writer a pat on the back if that actually fixes it. How the hell did they chase it to the trans mount, give that mechanic a pat on the back too! Most dealers just eye rolled me anytime i would have a rattle complaint lol.

the head tech of the shop

got it on the lift , pinpointed the noise from transmission 

 

used a pry bar to find exactly where it was

 

removed the mount and it was inside the mount and completely worn down and polished smooth
