My 2019 Silverado

Recommended Posts

Do anyone know what I can do to stop my signal warning from displaying when I turn on the signal lights after I have installed new rear led lights?  Installed AT LED tail lights!  Note--The signal lights are working just cant stop the warning display.

Typically need to add load resistors when moving to LED lights, the truck isn't seeing the same current draw it used to with the incandescent bulbs, so it thinks they are burned out.

Not familiar with the exact lights you are running but various vendors sell adapter harnesses with load resistors built in. It's kind of a pain either way because these resistors get hotter than hell and don't last long. On my 2016 Sierra I had to replace them 3 times in two years.

To echo what others have said, you have to add resistors or the adapter harnesses with them built in, depending on what brand you go with.

On that note, I have a '19 LTZ and swapped the front turn signals, back up lights, and license plate lights to all LED's with the LasFit brand. No additional resistors or adapters needed as they're built in. I've had mine in for 2 years and so far, so good with no issues/warnings or replacements.

My bad. You mentioned Silverado, not Sierra.

Doesn't matter the make. 2019 Silverado LTZ up and Sierra SLT up came with LED turns.  My 2019 RST had LED brake and tail but halogen turns. The Sierra SLE was the same so because yours is a Sierra doesn't matter. It's the model level.

I have a 2020 LTZ and I had to send my front turn signals led bulbs back due to hyper flashing. I also purchased the Lasfit brand. The reverse lamps and license plate leds work fine. You must be lucky.
