Ok has been over one month from when I contract the dealer and thy provide me with the info that my truck has been produced and they give me my vin. Number, I am assuming that probably few weeks b4 I contact them the truck was done, I’m around 9 hrs away from the plant where the truck was built, and still just sitting there no delivery date, is it possible that the truck was built but they waiting on chips to complete it? Or this is normal to take this long to get delivered?

Possibly.  Could be one of the 100K that made the news that are assembled but waiting for parts.

The other issue right now is trucking.  Cassens and Jack Cooper run most, if not all the auto industry and they are short on drivers, so there has been transportation delays.  Lots of independents are being hired it seems now, the last two deliveries we got of any new vehicles weren't from either Cassens or JC, they were indie drivers.  One even roof-to-bridged a brand new Tahoe Premier!

Drivers are a huge issue. Trying to find them is a nightmare. My wife is a Merchandiser for a huge company and she has issues everyday trying to find drivers for her routes for the company.
We as a country have to stop paying people to stay home and get them out into jobs!!!!

Hopefully @FJB you get some information on your truck soon so you can enjoy it. 👍

this is what gm chat says

Congratulations! Your vehicle has been produced. It is important to know that shipping   arrangements will take place next and your selling dealer is the best source for additional detail on that process.

and this is what my dealer told me

Your truck has been built and is now "in transit". GM does not show any type of ETA as of yet.

Hope this helps...

Have a great day!

My 2019 (before Covid and this supply chain mess) had that status for about a month. My dealer finally was able to figure out it was sitting on a rail car 90 miles away. The day the dealer decided he would figure out with GM how he could just go get it and drive it the 90 miles himself he finally got notification it would be at the dealership a couple of days later. And it was

Now this is why they say

GM is aware of the delays in shipping and is working with Logistics, our plants, and Carriers to get the orders shipped as quickly as possible. There are many reasons for delays, including but not limited to plant shutdowns and parts delays/shortage. At this time, this is the best information we can provide you with.

That’s just one of their many copy and paste soulutions they provide when you use the gm chat. I’ve gotten that one and more so many times now. At this point I’m just going to wait and let it show up when it gets here.

2022 3.0 dynamic blue AT4 has been built since 5/31/22 and is sitting at event code 4200 since that week. I got a call from gm resolution center yesterday and they read me another copy paste response.

But I have a gm quality control employee  in contact with the Silao plant quality control and my order is being looked into.

How do you find out what stage code your truck is in?

Through the gmc chat I asked for an event code a few times and I was provided with one. 4200 is technically shipped but as we all know it hasn’t been shipped which confuses the crap out of me. You have to go through 5 customer service representatives to get one good one who provides useful information.

min the gmc chat just ask for an agent and then ask for an event code and give them your order number.

one agent even gave me the VIN for my truck before my dealer even did.
