I think I found THE Camaro I've wanted since late 96.

 

did they put the LS1 in some of the 97's, or is my brain coming up with this for more reason to want it?

 

A 30th Anniversary Edition 1997 Z28 6-speed. White with hugger orange strpies.

 

I have seen a few fake 30th ann.'s around town, so I'm gonna check it out tomorrow.

 

96K miles 7500.

 

If it's clean, I like it, and I think I would like the payments, sound like a good deal?

 

It will have to impress me quite a bit to sell my BMW.

Camaros are nice cars. But those Performance V8s will suck some green out of your bank acount.

 

All I can say in the way of advice is, Know what kind of "Stuff" you're getting into before you make a drastic move.

I really doubt maintaince on an LT1 would cost me more $$ and stress than my M20B25( 60K timing belt/water pump, valve adjustments). plus EPA MPG average sfor the LT1 6 speed is better than my BMW's EPA averages!

They used to have an 370hp LT1 motor back in 70-71 in the Camaro. Big ol mechanical cam, 780 Holley carb, etc.. Ripped up some pavement with one of those one day...
