Tuners and the LD

Real quick question, looking for someone who has actual experience, not just a "can't see why not" thought... since I already have that. 

 

Will the tuners, diablo intune or hypertech 3000 work on the 19 LDs. Like I said, can't see why not, they're just 18 holdovers. Butttt looking for reassurance before throwing cash at a tuner. And yeah, I know, "go blackbear". But it's not a race truck, I have a chevelle for that. Just wanna tighten up shifts and lose afm.

Yes, you can tune them. They use the same E92 controller that the 2018's do.

If it's the 8-speed transmission, tuners are engine only, Transmission is locked so you can't adjust shift firmness, etc... I have Diablo and honestly can't tell any difference in any of the tunes other than maybe just a little at the top RPM range.  I use it primary to disable AMF and adjust for larger tire size but would love to get a tune for the crappy transmission.

Transmission aren't locked on E92 controlled trucks with an 8 speeds T87A TCM. You can get them unlocked with HP Tuners.

 

But being an LD truck, pretty sure they are all 6 speed auto's.
