I did some searching and couldn't find anything on this specific topic.. I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade the infotainment system in a 2017 sierra denali to a last generation screen (square model not the new large one) that has wireless carplay and android auto etc. I have seen some kits from Heigh10 but it seems you lose some functionality of OEM features when going that route and it does not offer Bose compatability or wireless carplay. Thanks

Not a smaller screen but it does have wireless carplay. Only issue is slow boot up and, lately, XM radio is available on a beta build. Also, there is a Bose adapter available.
Sorry for the split video and abrupt endings. My iPhone camera stopped recording when XM radio was connect to it - dunno why ...

A bit over 9 months and, other than the boot up time, I really like it's capabilities and the WOW factor is just a bonus.

The Linkswell Gen 5 does the same. Still, again, one has to like what one likes. :)
Good looking head unit!

Nice I was looking at the gen 5 model, i wish it had more storage on it.   Curious, how long is the boot up on it?  30 secs or like 1 min?   Does it boot up every time you start or can you have it on standby?

That is nice looking but it looks like its not flush to the dash.   Can you take a picture from the side?   Is there a gap also how big is that screen?

Thanks for the reply and the videos that screen looks pretty good. Not sure if I am in move with the bottons on the side but the fact that it will do carplay wirelessly is great. I also did some googling and found the heigh10 screens but looks like they wont support bose or wireless carplay at the moment. Does the linkswell screen autodim and brighten during the day/night?

It boots every time on starting. I believe the Gen 3 was a standby type start but according to Linkswell it was a bit buggy without a full boot each time.

The Linkswell can auto dim but I've changed a few settings via tune so I just go into settings and alter as I need to - two taps of the screen allows for adjustment - also, there is a dedicated dimming button but I haven't tried using it lately.
The Linkswell has an adapter for Bose audio.

All the videos I am seeing for the Linkswell and others show people installing an external microphone with these. Is it not possible to tie into the existing microphones that are above the driver seat?
