Blind Spot Monitoring w/Trailer

I noticed today when I towed my snowmobile trailer (7.5x18 enclosed), the driver side mirror is lit up constantly for blind spot monitoring?  Anyone else had this issue?  Is there a way to disable it?  Somewhat annoying, especially in the dark.

Yes, sometimes happens to me with the 5th wheel attached. If it is on, I stop at the end of my street, turn off the truck, open & close the driver door so the system powers down then restarting. Doing that seems to knock some sense into it. 

I thought it had to do with plugging in the trailer while truck was running, so have been connecting with truck off. It only does this when leaving home, and not when hooking up for my return trip so trying to see what I am doing differently at home versus the campground...

Mine seems to go through a learning process that takes a few miles. After that it works pretty well, it sense the other vehicle about half way up the 35 ft fifth wheel.

I drove about 50 miles today with the trailer and it definitely got better, so it might be a learning process as you say.  I don't think there is a way to disable them that I have found.
